The Board of Child Care is an outreach ministry of the Baltimore-Washington Conference that serves children and families who require physical, behavioral and social support. Through residential and community based services the Board endeavors to provide a safe, healthy, loving, and caring environment for children, youth, and families, by fostering self esteem, respect for the community, a sense of purpose, and life skills needed to achieve each one’s highest potential.
The October 4, 2008 Auxiliary meeting was hosted by Damascus United Methodist Church. Pastor Walt Edmonds provided the blessing for the lunch. We had a large group of over 20 members in attendance.
We are pleased to report continued contributions and support for the work that is being done at the Board of Child Care from this church and from Harwood House Thrift Shop (a ministry of DUMC).
