Lenten Project Begins February 10, 2008
Good friends, if you are reading this at the 8:15 AM service, then there is an important question we want to ask. Are you planning to attend the study on the question – “The Christian’s Response to Poverty” It will begin in the sanctuary at 9:45 AM and close about 10:30 AM. Even if you do not regularly attend an adult or youth Sunday School Class, you are still welcome to attend. We believe that as a result of sharing this time of study with other members of this congregation, you will be better informed and moved to action as we together we seek to follow the teachings of Jesus. The study will continue on each Sunday through March 9th.
If you are reading this at the 11 AM service and missed the first study, you can participate in any of the adult or youth classes next Sunday. If you need assistance locating a class, just call this number and we will be glad to help you (Contact John Poole for more information).
Upcoming event: Empty Bowl Supper to be held beginning at Noon on March 9th, at the Community Recreation Center in Damascus. The supper will end at 4 PM. This event benefits Damascus Help. Individuals are needed to make ceramic bowls, collect and store the bowls and then transport them to the event.
