The monthly "Beacon" is normally published on the first Sunday of each month.
The deadline is approximately 10 days BEFORE the first Sunday of a month.
On occasion, the Beacon may be published earlier,
so please check with the office to confirm each month's deadline.
Unfortunately, if the deadline is missed, your article will be placed in the following week’s Beaconette. Articles must be submitted in writing (on disk is helpful, microsoft word, preferred) to the church office, or e-mailed to ten.nozirev|enaj.taerg#ten.nozirev|enaj.taerg.
The deadline for the Beaconette will remain at 12 noon on Wednesday of each week that the Beaconette is published. Any articles received after that will go in the following week’s publication.
PLEASE NOTE: In our efforts as a staff to be a “green” church, we are trying to be more conservative with our paper and printing each week. We are therefore asking the congregation in the future to limit all articles submitted to a maximum of a ½ page. In one regard it is great that we have so many things going on here at DUMC that this has become necessary. So please remember that the Beacon/Beaconette is our means of keeping everyone informed of up-coming events and to be mindful of the space incurred when we publish “large” articles.
